If selected for an interview, a recruiter will contact you to schedule an interview. There may be more than one interview as part of the selection process. Once the interview is complete, the recruitment team will check your work related references. You may also have to submit a 5 year driver’s abstract. If you are the successful candidate, you’ll be contacted by the recruiter or hiring manager to discuss a verbal offer of employment, which will be followed by a hard copy. Unsuccessful candidates from the interview stage are informed of the decision once the successful candidate has indicated acceptance of the position.

STEP began with five employees in April 2011 and is rapidly expanding. The company employs over 450 field and office professionals as a part of our coiled tubing, fluid and nitrogen pumping and hydraulic fracturing service lines.

STEP is dedicated to providing its employees as many opportunities as possible to develop their skills and abilities through various training programs including classroom training, computerized training and hands-on training. There are also apprenticeships or university level programs available that relate to employee’s current positions.
While oilfield knowledge and experience is an asset, it is not mandatory. All candidates are also assessed on how well they will fit into our STEP family. Field professionals have many opportunities to develop their skills and aptitudes, so prior experience is not the sole factor taken into consideration during the hiring process. All candidates must have a Class 1 or Class 3 driver’s license at time of application.
