Calgary, AB (December 22, 2014) On Thursday, December 18, STEP received a certificate of achievement from the Saskatchewan Workers’ Compensation Board (WCB) acknowledging its work in the province and the company's commitment to injury prevention.
STEP had no recordable injury accidents in Saskatchewan in 2014, with an experience rating 17 per cent lower than industry average.
“This recognition with Saskatchewan’s Workers’ Compensation Board is a testament to our commitment to safe work practices here at STEP,” says HSE manager, Chris Kirby. “Safety is a top priority and our number one core value, which is why the industry’s top E&P companies continue to call upon STEP,” adds Kirby. “We recognize it is of utmost importance, which is why we’ve worked so hard to earn the safety rating we have today.”
