Calgary, AB (August 25, 2015) – After a lot of hard work and anticipation, STEP celebrated the grand opening of its Fort St. John Service Center on August 18, 2015. STEP professionals, clients, vendors, and community members were invited to enjoy a barbeque lunch and tour the new building and the STEP-ARM (Articulating Rotational Mast), which was parked in the yard. Mayor Lori Ackerman and Chamber of Commerce President Tony Zabinksy also attended the event and shared a few words with the crowd before the ceremonial raising of the flags at noon, marking the official opening of the service center.
“Everything we do in our business is client-driven,” says Steve Glanville, chief operating officer. “Most of our top clients have significant operations in northern Alberta and British Columbia, so viability of expanding our service center and presence in Fort St. John made sense.” Glanville adds, “The state-of-the-art 10,000 square foot shop and 4,000 square foot office space has room to store various coiled tubing strings and more equipment, meaning less transportation of goods, which ultimately saves the client time and money. It’s all part of our commitment to providing an Exceptional Client Experience.”
In addition to the client-focused portion of the celebration, guests were asked to bring non-perishable items in support of the Fort St. John Women's Resource Society (WRS), a charity that STEP has supported for the past two years. The donation table received an overwhelming amount of goods to donate, including highly needed items such as diapers, and the WRS is greatly appreciative of the contribution.
