Calgary, AB (September 17, 2012) – STEP Energy Services (“STEP”) is pleased to announce, effective September 14, 2012, the acquisition of Kamber Nitrogen Services (“Kamber”) is complete. Kamber is a privately owned coiled tubing and nitrogen pumping company based in Fort St. John, British Columbia. Kamber’s main assets consist of two deep capacity conventional coiled tubing units, two twin-fluid pumping units, five nitrogen pumping units and ancillary support equipment.
The purchase of Kamber is aligned with STEP Energy Services' vision of combining technically advanced, purpose-built coiled tubing units, associated pumping and support equipment with the industry’s most experienced operations professionals. "Kamber is an early entrant into the deep coil, fluid and nitrogen pumping business and has established a highly regarded business in northeastern BC," said Regan Davis, CEO of STEP Energy Services. “Kamber operates in the heart of the current and future resource play activity, and we are excited about incorporating their people and assets into STEP. Their operational experience, specialized equipment and brand value is an excellent strategic fit with STEP’s business model and growth strategy.”
