Daily Oil Bulletin (Monday, August 29, 2011) - The delivery of STEP Energy Services’ specialized coiled tubing equipment is on schedule; the first units are expected to be in service by December 2011. Phase I of STEP’s capital program which includes six specialized coiled tubing units, associated pumping and support equipment designed to service the deep horizontal well market will be completed early 2012. The second phase of the program will see and additional 6 units bringing the company's fleet to 12 spreads.
“We have started our discussions with a number of major players regarding their 2012 drilling plans,” says Steve Glanville, company chief operating officer. “We have received positive feedback from these potential clients about STEP’s ability to service the deep horizontal well market indicating an existing lack of equipment and expertise to effectively service this market.”
STEP Energy Services’ specialized equipment is capable of servicing wells at extended reach depths over 6000 metres. STEP’s skilled and competent employees transform this equipment into customized solutions and exceptional client experiences.
