Daily Oil Bulletin (Friday, December 9, 2011) - STEP Energy Services took possession of its first fluid pumping unit on Dec. 1 from SERVAgroup in Calgary.
The pumper is the first in a fleet of 12 designed to service the deep horizontal well market in Western Canada.
"This state-of-the-art unit will showcase STEP's ability to deliver on what we have been discussing with customers in the marketplace," Steve Glanville, COO of the privately owned company, said in a news release.
STEP Energy Services' fluid pumping units are fully integrated, with redundant twin quintaplex pumping units. Engine size and pump performance have been selected to support larger OD coiled tubing operations or standalone pump down treatments with 24 hour, continuous operations
