STEP Energy Services Keeps on Winning with Alberta Venture

Calgary, AB (September 24, 2015) – Alberta Venture recently released its annual list of the top 20 most innovative organizations in the province in which STEP was included for its purpose-built piece of equipment the STEP-ARM (Articulating Rotational Mast). The ARM, which has a 27 meter (88 foot) reach capacity, was included on the list for its ability to service multiple wells on one pad without having to re-position the equipment. Rory Thompson, vice president of coiled tubing services Canada comments, “This ultimately saves the client time and money, which is something all of our clients are looking. Given the challenging economic environment, we want to work with our clients whenever possible to come up with cost-saving solutions, which is what we are able to accomplish with the ARM.”

Since its maiden voyage on January 26, this purpose-built piece of equipment has worked for five different clients on over 20 unique wells performing a variety of millout projects.

In addition to this industry nod, the publication has also named STEP as one of Alberta’s 250 largest corporations based on the 2014 fiscal year.
