STEP Energy Services Named as Requalified Winner of 2018 Canada's Best Managed Companies
Toronto, ON – March 8, 2018 – STEP Energy Services has once again been recognized for its business performance and sustained growth with the prestigious Canada’s Best Managed Companies designation. The 2018 Best Managed program award winners – made public this morning – are among the best-in-class of Canadian owned and managed companies with revenues over $15 million. The companies demonstrate strategy, capability and commitment to achieving sustainable growth.
“We are very proud to requalify as a Best Managed company and to be recognized on this prestigious list,” said Steve Glanville, vice-president of operations and chief operating officer. "To us, being 'Best Managed' is a mindset we come to work with every day. It carries our business through periods of exponential growth and allows our company to thrive despite some of the challenges faced by our (energy) sector. We remain committed to our core values and the promise to deliver exceptional experiences to our employees and clients. We graciously accept this award on behalf of all our talented professionals. It is their diligent focus and perseverance to be the best that makes this award especially satisfying.”
Now in its 25th year, Canada’s Best Managed Companies is one of the country’s leading business awards programs recognizing Canadian-owned and managed companies for innovative, world-class business practices. Every year, hundreds of entrepreneurial companies compete for this designation in a rigorous and independent process that evaluates the calibre of their management abilities and practices.
Applicants are evaluated by an independent judging panel comprised of representatives from program sponsors in addition to special guest judges. 2018 Best Managed companies share commonalities that include a clear strategy and vision, investment in capability and commitment to talent.
“Best Managed companies deserve recognition for their entrepreneurial approach to excelling in an uncertain economic climate. They truly bring out the best in Canadian business leadership,” said Lorrie King, Partner, Deloitte and Co-Leader, Canada’s Best Managed Companies program.
The Best Managed program is sponsored by Deloitte, CIBC, Canadian Business, Smith School of Business, TMX Group and MacKay CEO Forums.
