Calgary, AB (February 21, 2017) – STEP Energy Services Ltd. (“STEP”) is pleased to share the successful completion of another record breaking coiled tubing project on a four well pad in the Duvernay. On the evening of February 16 after milling 43 plugs at pressures over 60MPa, the professionals on rig C08 tagged in at 7,115m (23,343 ft) with 2-3/8" (60.3 mm) CT, breaking the Company’s previous Canadian record set in July 2016 of 7,091m (23,264 ft)) with 2-3/8" (60.3 mm). This does not beat the Company’s overall depth record of 7,150m (23,458 ft) achieved in September 2016 for a client in south Texas.
