Calgary, AB (April 25, 2012) – STEP Energy Services is proud to announce the receipt of their Certificate of Recognition (COR) certification. The COR certificate was issued based on an Alberta Human Resources & Employment Partnership qualification safety audit conducted in December 2011, using the Petroleum Safety Council (PSC) Basic Safety Program (BSP) audit protocol. STEP’s overall Audit score was 91% for Alberta operations, comfortably surpassing the protocol threshold requirement.
The auditor noted that “STEP should be commended, throughout the development of the program they ensured that the employees had a voice and were committed to solutions that would be accepted and complied within the workplace”. Additionally, the auditor stated that “STEP employees liked working in an environment in which teaching and teamwork is the goal”.
Chris Kirby, HSE Manager at STEP, added “receiving our COR Certificate confirms STEP’s commitment of doing what’s right for our professionals, clients and the environment.” STEP’s President, Bailey Epp, added “On every project the primary goal of STEP’s field professionals, operations experts and management team is to successfully deliver results without compromising the safety of all workers, inflicting damage to equipment or bringing harm to the public or the environment”.
