STEP Integrates Kamber Under Corporate Brand

Calgary, AB (October 1, 2013) – STEP Energy Services acquired Fort St. John based Kamber Nitrogen Services in September 2012.  Kamber’s nitrogen operations continued to operate as ‘Kamber, A STEP Energy Services Company’. 

Effective October 1, 2013, the nitrogen operations will be rebranded and will operate under the STEP Energy Services Ltd. banner.  Accordingly, the ‘Kamber, A STEP Energy Services Company’ brand name will cease to exist.

“We have taken a year to transition a number of Kamber’s processes into STEP and have integrated the Kamber team into our corporate culture,” says Marc Johnson, VP, Sales and Marketing.  “This year has been tremendously successful for our two companies; Kamber has allowed us to accelerate our presence and expand our service offering to operators active in resource plays such as the Duvernay and the Montney.”

STEP plans to increase its physical presence in the area and has purchased property in Fort St. John to facilitate the addition of more equipment and people to its northern operations.  During the next two years, the company will build a new service center which will resemble the central Alberta service center currently located in Blackfalds, Alberta.

“These changes will not affect our business in any way, other than expanding our ability to deliver high-value experiences to our clients,” says Johnson.  “Our unified brand, growth strategy, and distinct corporate values will translate into further success for our company.”
