Safety is no accident. At STEP, making safety a habit or being "safety aware" isn't just for one week – it’s entrenched in our daily habits and culture. This year, STEP celebrated its commitment to safety at the office, in the field and at home by once again supporting the Steps for Life - Walking for Families of Workplace Tragedy fundraising walk at Bower Ponds, Red Deer, AB. On Saturday, April 30, STEP sponsored face painters from Candy Faces for all participants at the event, and had two local professionals and their families join in the 5km walk.
Steps for Life is the flagship fundraiser for the Association for Workplace Tragedy Family Support, known as Threads of Life. This unique Canadian charity supports the healing journey of families who have suffered from a workplace fatality, traumatic life-altering injury, or occupational disease. Threads of Life currently supports more than 2,000 family members across Canada affected by workplace tragedies.
