Calgary, AB (September 4, 2015) – On September 9, the Intervention and Coiled Tubing Association (ICoTA) will host a technical session focusing on refracturing operations in Canada. STEP’s business development engineer, Andrew McMurray, will discuss the historical well completion key performance indicator (KPI) changes for most major Canadian operated basins from 2011 to 2015. Mr. McMurray’s presentation, Refracture Market Analysis on the Canadian Basins, will address the following KPIs:
• stage count;
• frac spacing; and
• proppant usage.
These values were used to analyse and rank each basin based on refracturing potential and help determine initial refracturing well candidates. The results of the study will be discussed.
