Calgary, AB (November 9, 2012) - A significant accomplishment was achieved last month as STEP Energy Services received 98 per cent on the National Safety Code audit. “I want to recognize the efforts of our STEP professionals in Health, Environment and Safety, Maintenance and Operations who have clearly upheld our corporate values,” says Chris Kirby, HSE Manager. “Achieving this score is a testament to the hard work and dedication to the processes we have established over the past 20 months.”
Triggered by the application for a special oilfield services permit, a federal auditor reviewed STEP’s practices to ensure compliance with the National Safety Code and all related legislation. Reviewing evidence of internal documentation including driver training, vehicle preventative maintenance and driver log books, combined with related processes, the auditor concluded that STEP was qualified to receive this exceptional score.
“STEP professionals should be very proud of this success as it proves our commitment to our core values of safety, trust, execution and possibilities,” comments Kirby.
