This morning in Calgary, AB, STEP was proud to support a press conference hosted by EnQuest Energy Solutions Inc. with Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre.

During the event, Mr. Poilievre announced the proposed Canadian Sovereignty Act, aimed at strengthening Canada’s economic autonomy and supporting industries like energy services. He highlighted a series of priorities, including “shovels in the ground” by March 14, 2026, with plans for two major pipelines, a road to the Ring of Fire, and a new greenfield LNG project.

STEP’s NGx, Canada’s first 100% natural gas reciprocating engine fracturing pump, was staged as the backdrop for the press conference. Representing innovation, efficiency, and the future of Canadian energy, the NGx pump drew attention to STEP’s commitment to advanced technology and operational excellence.

We thank our operations team for safely delivering the NGx pump from Northern Alberta to Calgary, ensuring it was ready for the press conference and supporting a smooth, successful event.
